The Official Home Page of the Bay Area Beavers

The Bay Area Beavers are America's second oldest cricket club, proudly the oldest active club in the country, and — depending on who you ask — the owners of arguably the brownest website on the internet.

Established in San Francisco, California in 1861, the team was revived in 2019 by Red Hendery, a distant relative of David Cornelius Wides. Today, the Beavers are a vibrant mix of players from all over the world, much like the original squad. To learn more about the club’s origins, be sure to read the Comprehensive History of the Bay Area Beavers.

The team is built on inclusion, fairness, and playing the game the right way. Everyone gets an equal opportunity, and the club proudly enforces a strict 'no dicks' policy.

Today's squad has been fortunate enough to play cricket on three continents — competing in New Zealand, Ireland, and across the United States, where the team is based.
